Non verbal communication at workplace

Today am going to talk about non verbal communication at workplace. Nonverbal communication is different at workplace as compare to over daily lives. At workplace one have to behave in sophisticated manner. Apart from this one should use its body language in effective way to create a good impression.




Following are some the aspects which one can consider as nonverbal communication at workplace.

  • In business environment space is consider as nonverbal communication as superior has big office as compare to subordinate.
  • At workplace facial expressions are very important. To convince somebody facial expression should match with what one say.
  • One can be judged by their appearance at workplace. Example - proper workplace outfit reflects commitment and respect towards job.
  • In some circumstance, nonverbal communication helps in understanding message without disturbing a meeting or interpreting others talks.
  • With verbal communication a positive nonverbal communication helps to build good business relationship.
  • A new employee should observe nonverbal clues at workplace by co-employee or supervisor to understand the business environment better.
  • Nonverbal communication with clients should be according to client's need and want. Example - in America politeness and friendliness are the key practise in business environment.
  • As it is said "eyes are the door to soul" similarly eye contact at workplace eye can reflect the agreement or disagreement towards work.
